The taking of measurements then becomes fast and discreet: a laser beam scans your body in the twinkling of an eye. The procedure is contact-free and of course absolutely safe. The scan can take approximately 100 individual measurements, although only a few of those are needed to manufacture a suit or a lady's costume.

The 3D Body Scanner can be compared with Mercedes S class and is the flagship of Human Solutions. Per se, the taking of measurements with a scanner is not an absolutely necessary part of the customized clothing production process. The measuring of the customer can still be carried out by hand (RETAILOR Terminal) or with a 2D scanner (RETAILOR Shop 2D). Body scanning not only has a role to play in the retail trade, it's also a major player for the garment industry. After on-screen configuration of the garment, the customer's personal data is edited in the computer and immediately transmitted to the manufacturer online. This avoids middleman and middle-stage errors in the procedure -  and delivery is much faster and more economical too.

The suit, shirt or costume is tailored to fit the customer perfectly. Tiresome trying-on is now superfluous; a perfect fit is guaranteed. At the request of the customer, his or her body measurements can be stored with the vendor - so a different garment can be ordered at any time. The future of customized clothing has begun.
