Ergonomics as a sales argument at Fritzmeier's:  with RAMSIS, the leading construction machinery manufacturer can ensure that its conditions for cab design are fulfilled, like sensible, comfortable posture, the contact of certain body parts with the vehicle geometry, the amount of space available (e.g., to what degree freedom of movement and the field of vision is restricted by vehicle parts) and the feasibility of actually carrying out tasks - even as early as the CAD design stage. RAMSIS can even be used in the acquisition phase – clearly demonstrating the advantages of ergonomically designed drivers' cabs.

Product development for the Asian market at BOMAG: the driver's cockpit in the BW 131 tandem roller was optimized for the Asian market. A manikin representing a typical Japanese person was first positioned in the driver's cabin. The visualization clearly showed that the seating position was ergonomically far from ideal. After a posture comfort analysis was carried out (RAMSIS Discomfort Analysis), BOMAG redesigned the driver's cockpit, changing the footwell and raising the steering wheel considerably and tilting it towards the driver.

Optimal comfort and safety with MULAG conveyor belt vehicles: MULAG is one of leading German manufacturers of vehicles for airport runway aprons. Ergonomics also provides an important competitive advantage in this market. For the cabin design of the Orbiter conveyor belt vehicle and the Pulsar container palette transporter, RAMSIS enabled specific requirements to be taken into account, like a comfortable seating position with optimal view conditions, the ergonomically correct position and angles of pedals and steering wheel, and the optimal positioning of the controls on the instrument panel and door handles.  The view through the roof opening of the conveyor belt and the instruments had already been optimized and checked on the CAD model.
