Cooperation between Human Solutions and the Berlin University of Applied Sciences
28.07.2011Human Solutions and the Berlin University of Applied Sciences (HTW) are now working together in a long-term and project-oriented cooperation. The objective of this cooperation is to integrate currently available modern technologies into the education programs of apparel technology students as early as possible. “With this cooperation we would like to profile the HTW as an innovative and modern university and provide our students with the newest methods and programs, enabling them to integrate them meaningfully into their future companies,” says Prof. Elke Floß, responsible for Design and CAD of the Apparel Technology/Ready-Made Clothing study course.
Another object of the agreement is to promote joint research and development work in the area of computer-assisted acquisition of (body) measurements, computer-assisted pattern creation, 3D clothing simulation and ready-made clothing machines ― and a 3D body scanner, the Premium program cad.assyst and the visualization tool vidya have been purchased to this end. “Thanks to the takeover of assyst eighteen months ago, many new possibilities have been created in the area of product development in 3D. The assyst company and Human Solutions work very closely together and we’re delighted to have gained the HTW as a scientific partner who will support us in the development of our innovations.
