04.12.2001The EU-organized IST event (Information Society Technologies Conference and Exhibition) consists of both exhibition and conference and is held in the Congress Center in Düsseldorf. The focus is on the presentation of EU-sponsored projects, like E-Tailor. E-Tailor was created with the purpose of integrating 3D measuring systems, CAD and eCommerce technology into the European Clothing Industry (virtual sales of made-to-measure clothing and the standardization of European tables of sizes.
The tecmath company brings its know-how to the first step in the process – the lightning-fast, no-contact measurement of the human body with the help of a 3D Body Scanner and powerful software that extracts the body measurements from the 3D data.
In September, the 3D Body Scanner VITUS/smart was awarded the Information Society Technologies Prize 2002, given in recognition of especially innovative product development in the field of Information Technology. You can also catch the VITUS/smart at the Exhibition.
