RAMSIS NextGen integrated in Siemens NX Software

RAMSIS is the leading ergonomics tool for the automotive industry when it comes to fine-tuning the interior of vehicles to meet the needs of the driver and passengers. RAMSIS NextGen is now fully integrated in Siemens PLM Software’s NX™ software, a leading integrated solution for computer-aided design, manufacturing and engineering (CAD/CAM/CAE).
Thanks to the integration of RAMSIS NextGen in NX, users can access the RAMSIS manikin directly – so importing and exporting data is no longer necessary and worksteps can be carried out faster and more easily.

The integration of RAMSIS NextGen with NX was conducted in close cooperation with Daimler the car manufacturer – so it is ideally suited to meet the needs of the automotive industry. RAMSIS NextGen is available with NX version 10.
Created over a year ago, RAMSIS NextGen is the next generation of intelligent manikins, with a completely new software concept and many new features. RAMSIS NextGen provides more flexibility, efficiency and a better representation of the market. The user gets results faster, thanks to the parallel observation of several RAMSIS models. Persons with different body shapes and sizes, for example, can easily be virtually placed in the vehicle interior to check their view from the vehicle, to check the belt routing and to determine if they can access various elements in the vehicle. The enhancement of the models’ body shapes has been based on real, three-dimensional scans and the graphical visualization options have also been greatly expanded. The reusability of data and the greater usability of RAMSIS NextGen lead to a much more efficient process.
