Expansion and integration of RAMSIS
RAMSIS is a product family with many expansion and integration levels. There are three basic RAMSIS programs ― RAMSIS Automotive, RAMSIS Industrial Vehicles and RAMSIS Aircraft, all of which can be supplemented by different function modules and integrated into the existing IT landscape in product development.
Platform ― Stand-alone and integration with Catia and DeltaGen from RTT
RAMSIS is available as a stand-alone application for Windows or as a seamless integration with CATIA 5. Here designers can directly access all RAMSIS functions within their accustomed work environments. The most time-consuming import or export of geometries can be dispensed with, because users no longer have to familiarize themselves with a new CAD program to be able to carry out efficient ergonomic analyses. For factory design and the analysis of jobs, RAMSIS can also be integrated into the Autodesk software, Factory Suite.
RAMSIS and Virtual Reality Systems
RAMSIS can also be integrated into virtual reality systems for the realtime simulation of a product. Thanks to this integration, the real observer together with his body geometry, movements and field of view are reproduced in the model and synchronized with the environment. This enables maximum interaction with the digital model. Some interesting advantages of VR integration are field of view comparisons for different body heights, reach analyses and the recording of maintenance manuals. RAMSIS is integrated into DeltaGen (RTT) by default.
Simple integration into the development chain: RAMSIS or ergonomic data from RAMSIS can be directly integrated into other established systems within the design environment. Available as a stand-alone and in Catia V for Windows XP. Export via IGES, SAT AVI and into motion capturing systems. RAMSIS Industrial Vehicles and RAMSIS Aircraft also via VDA interface and geometries can also be optionally imported or exported via JT.
