At the booth of the Federal Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Technology: Human Solutions will show current development stage of Virtual Try-On at the CeBIT 2004

Cooperative project of institutes and garment sector companies to be introduced in Hall 11, Booth D32

Kaiserslautern, 11th February 2004 Project coordinator HUMAN SOLUTIONS GmbH, of Kaiserslautern, Germany, will introduce the cooperative project Virtual Try-On at this year's CeBIT - from the 18th through the 24th of March, the company will be at the booth of the Federal Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Technology (BMBF) in Hall 11, Booth D32.

The cooperative project Virtual Try-On was initiated in 2001. The objective was the creation of a virtual store, accessible both from real-life stores and via the Internet. Starting with body measurement by means of the 3D Body Scanner to virtual trying-on of the clothing and culminating in customized manufacture in accordance with the customer's wishes, the entire process was carefully studied and analyzed. Manufacturers and retailers in the garment sector expect great things of Virtual Try-On: it is here that Virtual Reality (VR) technologies will be developed and tested, providing a realistic and 3D-simulated image of how various items of clothing will look on digital models of individual customers.

Andreas Divivier, Project Manager with Human Solutions, will introduce the project, demonstrating the possibilities of VR technologies and will talk a close look at the challenges involved for processes and logistics.
