Human Solutions presents RAMSIS ISO 5006

bauma is the largest and most impressive trade fair for construction machinery and construction vehicles worldwide. From April, 15 to April, 21, Human Solutions is presenting together with its partner Fritzmeier at their booth No. 315 / 414 in hall A 6. The main subject is “to save time and money with RAMSIS ISO 5006 – the standardized ergonomics simulation”.

RAMSIS ISO 5006 specifies a static test method for determining and evaluation the operator´s visibility on a rectangular 1 m boundary close around the machine and on a 12 m visibility test circle. From now on, RAMSIS is integrated. Compliance with the guidelines is usually verified on physical test stands. That takes time and effort and can all be done much faster on a computer by now.

Standardized ergonomics simulation on the CAD model

Many ergonomic aspects such as operability, space requirements and field of view can be fully checked beforehand on a CAD model of a construction vehicle, this begins in a very early stadium. The ergonomics software generates a field of view based on the driver’s position, geometrically and in compliance with the standards — and it displays this in the 3D CAD model of the vehicle, including superstructures and cargo.

The field of view is automatically evaluated and RAMSIS immediately displays any ISO violations... but the best is still to come... The results can always be perfectly replicated, even on different versions of vehicles — and that simply cannot be done on a physical test stand.

“Digital standards verification has proven itself time and time again in practice. Our customers always used to compare the results of their digital and physical tests, ‘just to be sure’. Today the number of physical tests has been massively reduced”, says Anton Preiss, Director Mobility, Human Solutions GmbH.

Another available module: ISO 13564.

Visitors of the bauma trade fair can find more detailed information in the middle of April at the booth No. 315 / 414 in hall A 6.
