The RAMSIS Excellence Award for more ergonomics in vehicle interiors

Human Solutions sponsors the second Germany-wide award for ergonomics simulation


For the second year running, students, scientific employees and postgraduates who have majored in ergonomics with the focus on vehicle interiors or cockpit interiors can submit their project work for the RAMSIS Excellence Award, from today through 30th June 2009. This award will enable students and scientific employees in universities and technical academies to obtain an early insight into the processes involved in the automotive industry and to make their first contacts in the sector. The prize will again be divided into two categories, with total prize money of 3,000 Euros going to the winners. The prize-giving ceremony for the winners will take place during the annual RAMSIS User Conference, which is planned for the 22nd and 23rd September 2009 in Kaiserslautern.

Focal themes of submitted projects and theses should pertain to vehicle design in the broadest sense of the word - they may also address the topics of the cognitive reception and processing of information, anthropometrics and comfort and driver models. “The objective of this award is to align outstanding scientific work with the requirements of the automotive industry - and thus enable students and scientific employees to make contact with the sector at an early stage,” said Dr. Andreas Seidl, Managing Director of Human Solutions GmbH.
